There is much to tell about Nice and we can only give you a brief description of the capital of the Rivièra, with its famous Promenade des Anglais, its colourful markets and the small alleys of the old town. It is a city where there is much to see and do. With cozy squares, numerous restaurants and cafés, shopping streets around place Masséna and lots of museums of which these of Matisse and Chagall are the most famous. The Russian cathedral is also worth seeing. In spring Nice has it's famous carnival ( mardi gras) and in July its famous jazz festival.

Within a few kilometers north of the city you will find a beautiful and quiet mountainous landscape with charming villages as Aspermont and Peillon for example. A very nice tour is the one to col le Turini, well known from the rally Monte-Carlo. Beautiful coast ways lead to Monaco with the pittoresque village of Eze to visit along the way. Cannes and St. Paul de Vence, with its galleries, are worth a visit.
